Slight imperfection: glaze pulled away very slightly near rim.
This listing is for one wheel thrown stoneware mug featuring a stunning blue glaze over a matte black.
I named this glaze combination after the Canadian gemstone Labradorite, as it’s surface is evocative of the moving blue tones characteristic of the stone.
Each piece is one of a kind and made by hand. This mug began as a humble ball of clay that has been shaped on the wheel, trimmed, fired, waxed, glazed and then fired again.
Measures approximately 4.75 inches tall x 5.5 inches wide
Holds 20 oz
Care: dishwasher and microwave safe, although hand washing is recommended to extend the life of your ceramics.
Why handmade? For me, handmade pottery is a representation of slow living and minimalism. Forged from natural materials and shaped by the hands of the maker, each vessel reminds us to think about the origin of the piece and how it came to be in our hands.
